~ Anniversary
Announcement ~
2011 is the 400th anniversary of the most widely
read Bible translation in history—the “King James Version” (KJV)
of the English Bible. Gutenberg started the mass production
revolution of the Bible when he first printed it in the 1450’s.
His words quoted above came true with the printing of the King
James Bible as it multiplied as the wind into over a billion copies.
I’ll quote, “It is the only book in history to surpass one
billion copies. For 400 years, the Authorized Version of the
Bible—popularly known as the King James Version—has been beloved for
its majestic phrasing and stately cadences.
No other book has so profoundly influenced our language and our
theology. Here are some
facts about the King James Bible, If you stacked all the Bibles sitting
in American homes, the tower would rise 29 million feet, nearly 1,000
times the height of Mount Everest.
More than 90 percent of American households own a Bible, and the
average family owns three, according to pollsters at the Barna Group.
The American Bible Society hands out 5 million copies of the Good
Book each year; 1.5 billion Gideon Bibles wait in hotel rooms worldwide.
Scripture outsells the latest diet fads, murder mysteries and
celebrity bios year after year. Evangelical publishers alone sold an estimated 20 million
Bibles in recession-battered 2009, raking in about $500 million in
sales, according to Michael Covington, information and education
director of the Evangelical Christian Publishers Association.”

~ About the Bible ~
- “…For the LORD giveth wisdom:
- out
of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding.”
- - Proverbs 2:1-6
The Bible is a spiritual story of hope,
telling all those who would listen of the great Heavenly master plan of
humanity from chaos to eternity.
The term “bible”
comes from the Greek word biblia, which means a collection of
books.
The Holy Bible known to the western world is a collection of 66
books, penned by 40 different authors, over a period of apx. 1,500
years. It is broken down
into two testaments, beginning with the Hebrew Bible/Testament commonly
called Old Testament, and second is the Messianic Testament more
commonly called the New Testament.
Overall, the Bible is one third legal/governmental and moral
teaching, one third history, and on e third prophecy.
It has more backup copies and copies of ancient manuscripts then
any other book in the world. It
has been studied, questioned and tested more then any other book in
history. The Hebrew Bible is the one artifact from antiquity that has
not only maintained its integrity but still continues to have a vital,
powerful effect thousands of the years later.
If the Bible were found to be historically inaccurate, then all
records of ancient history would have to be discarded.
To simplify research and study,
each book of the Bible has a series of numbered chapters, and each
chapter is divided into numbered verses.
These chapter and verse citations are uniform throughout all of
the Bible translations and are written as: Book name, chapter #, verse
#. For example: The second verse, of the first chapter, of the first
book of the Bible is written as Genesis 1:2, or abbreviated as Gen.1:2. (Log on, Sacred Scrolls: http://www.homeworship101.com/bb-c2_sacred_scrolls.htm
)
The middle verse of the Bible is Psalm 118:8. It reads as
follows: "It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence
in man." (An
interesting coincidence or Divine intervention?)
The Bible is a textbook of metaphysics - a manual
for the growth of the soul and spirit.
The real strength of a person is not physical, but moral and
spiritual. The Bible
answers all questions from this point of view using common terms and
addressing it in terms of the relationship to the spirit.
The Bible is something of a working spiritual
manual from the CREATOR
to all of HIS Creation.
“All Scripture is given by inspiration of GOD, and is profitable for
doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in
righteousness,”
2Timothy 3:16.
The Bible is truthful and frank, and Biblical
wisdom is practical - not theoretical.
It teaches how-to-live life skillfully in a GODLY
way, in an un-GODLY world.
The
Bible gives us practical information:
The Earth is round (Isa.40:22) and present days’ ocean shipping lanes
were based on a verse in Psalms 8:8.
The Bible is also the textbook of spiritual
warfare. The
ancient texts tell us our struggle is not against our fellow humans, but
with the rulers of the cosmic powers governing this darkness, and with
the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realm (Eph.6:12). Spiritual warfare is serious business, the dark powers are
great and must be conquered individually - no one can do it for you.
That is the theme of my ministry, addressing our individual
relationship with the higher powers. Confucius said, “To lead an untrained people to war is
to throw them away.” One
cannot fight this spiritual war with force; to win one has to understand
the higher spiritual order of everything.
But who teaches us this understanding?
When a person is alone and faces their spiritual battles,
traditionally it is the training from our houses of worship, which help
us prevail against the darkness. But
do they really teach us this? (Spiritual
Power-tools: http://www.homeworship101.com/sp-t1_prayer.htm
)
The Bible is considered the word of GOD
by the Jews and Christians. I
grew up with 16 Bibles in the house, and I could find no one who was its
master. I observed that one
group reads only from the front of the book and the other reads only
from the back of the book. I
was always puzzled that what the book says is not what is usually
practiced. The sage says: “When
you are puzzled over something that is the beginning of knowledge.”
The Bible is the most unique book
in the possession of humankind. Many archaeological discoveries,
such as the Dead Sea Scrolls, do more to prove the integrity of the
Bible then disprove it. (Dig
the Bible to learn more see my links
page )
The Bible is many things
to many people. It is a book of
tradition and history, a book of freedom, a book of moral lessons, a
book of healthcare, a book of prophecy, a book of spiritual warfare,
etc... (My book and website
touch’s on a little of all of them.)
Think for a minute what
the Bible claims to be, it is the message from the CREATOR to the
creation. The question is:
How does the CREATOR authenticate the message?
How does HE prove to the creation that HE is the one sending the
message? The primary way HE
has chosen to do that is by telling the creation the future before it
happens.
- "...I am God, and there is none like Me.
Declaring the end from the beginning.
- And from ancient times
- things that are not yet done..."
- Isaiah 46:9-10
Prophecy validates the
Bible, and proves the existence of the CREATOR.
There are approximately 10,835 prophecies in the Bible, some are of
curses and punishments, some are of blessings and redemption, and they
are of two types, fulfilled, and unfulfilled.
The fulfilled ones we learn from, and the unfulfilled ones are
the ones we are watching for, (sometime in the future they will show up
on the radar screen). They
are organized into three categories:
- [1]
The Land: For example, in the Book of Daniel, there are 135
prophecies, all previously fulfilled as written.
- [2]
The Messiah: There are over 200 prophecies regarding the
Messiah, all precisely fulfilled in the life and death of Yahshua.
- [3]
The End Times (Eschatology): Are prophecies that deal with
death, resurrection, end of the age, Divine judgment, and the future
world. To
learn more log onto my prophecy pages http://www.homeworship101.com/bb-c9_prophecy.htm.
The Bible is my passion,
I’m am not interested in “religious” conversion or winning debates
(I don’t have that much energy), I just want to get you
thinking about the Bible. In
my humble opinion, the Bible is one of those books where it's best to
read the ending first. Begin by reading the prophecies of
Revelation ch.19-22, it will give you a vision of eternity and then you
can decide which side you want to be on. From there read the Book
of Proverbs, it will help you form your framework for your "method
of getting into Heaven." Next, read "the Gospels."
The Bible should be read with sophistication and
that means do not interpret verses singularly (2Pet.1:20).
It has been said that: “Divine knowledge humbles great men,
astonishes the common man, and puffs up the little man,“ and “a half
truth is the worst kind of lie.”
All through the ages, and up to the present time, there always
have been the little men, the petty, the manipulative or misguided
religious troubadours, who are guided solely by their own narrow-minded
prejudices to become very skillful in taking Bible verses out of context
to support their limited point of view.
My purpose is the illumination of some spiritual truths that are
rarely taught. Although I quote certain verses, space does not allow me to
use the complete context in which the verse is used. I encourage all readers to refer to their own Bibles, read
with sophistication, and consider the complete historical context in
which the verse was quoted from. For
greater in-depth study, excellent research helps are “study Bibles”
which are part Bible and part encyclopedia and provide more background
information and help in understanding the historical circumstances in
which the chapter and verse were written.
~ Translations Controversies ~
When
discussing the Bible, many times, people will tell me that you cannot
trust the Bible translations,
because some translators made changes to it, either from ignorance,
honest mistake, or for the purposes of deception.
Fifty years ago it was a good argument, but today, many
archaeological discoveries, such as the Dead Sea Scrolls, do more to
prove the integrity of the Bible, then to disprove it.
There were dissenters of the King James Bible
when it was first published saying it was a government publication and
would not trust it. The
Bible the religious
reformers of the day and pilgrims of America read was the Gevena
Bible first published in 1550 and they would not read the King James
Bible even if were given to them for free.
The Gevena Bible was the first Bible to contain footnotes of the
current day Protestant reformers. King
James thought many of the footnotes contained bias, such as commentary
that the catholic pope was the antichrist, maybe he will be maybe he
won’t be, but that could misdirect the reader from GOD’s meaning and
wanted a Bible that only contains Biblical text.
The reasoning was if one simply reads the text of the Bible, one
understands the meaning. But
if one reads it along with the notes of scholars who are liberal in
their thinking, then one absorbs bias that masquerades as scholarship.
It is a two edged sword because to really understand the Bible
one needs to understand the historical context in which it was given.
True scholarship is needed, liberal bias that misdirects is not.
Out of that argument grew the “King James only” folks who
reject scholarly influence in the Bible studies.
The King James Bible is my favorite because it is
my first Bible given to me by my parents when I was 8 years old,
and I grew up reading it. In
the 1980’s the KJV was updated to the “New King James Version” (NKJV)
using more contemporary language while still retaining it’s original
characteristics. Today, I
enjoy reading “The New
Open Bible Study Edition” based on the NKJV (which is part Bible and
part encyclopedia – hopefully as unbiased as one can find today).
To compile the research for this story, I used many Bible
translations. I do not wish to debate the merits of any of the
Bible versions, in my opinion, there is still no one perfect English
translation - but they are getting better. The New King James
Version (NKJV) is an excellent Bible translation accepted by the
Protestant dominations. It
is readily available in computer software format, which simplifies
searching for words or phrases. Another
popular Protestant Bible is the New International Version (NIV). This translation has an easier flow for general reading, and
is favored by most of the evangelical churches.
The New Jerusalem Bible (NJB) is a scholarly French
Catholic version, (published by Doubleday in 1990) and is acclaimed for
its dignified, accurate, and fresh language (personally I like it
because they use Yahweh instead of God).
A Catholic Bible contains a few extra books in the Old Testament
called the Apocrypha, which does not disturb the general story, but
gives additional information to work with.
One can use any “respected” translation that they are
comfortable with to follow the general concepts of my presentation.
YHWH, the GOD
of Creation originally communicated to humans in Hebrew.
The Old Testament and parts of the New Testament were originally
written in Hebrew and Aramaic, which is a sister language to Hebrew.
Problems arose when the Bible was translated into other
languages. To resolve these
problems, we sometimes have to look to the original Hebrew words to
determine their meaning. For
my research I used the Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance of the Bible,
which includes a Greek and Hebrew Dictionary.
Another useful Bible in determining the exact meaning of some
complete verses is the George M. Lamsa’s translation from the Aramaic
of the Peshitta, an English translation directly from the ancient
Eastern texts. The original
New Testament Books (save one) were written by Jews for Jews, and then
to the gentiles, there is no sound reason why a Jew should not read it.
Jewish readers can reference New Testament passages in the Jewish
New Testament by Dr. David H. Stern.
This book is a fresh English translation expressing the original
and essential Jewishness of the Bible by using neutral terms with the
original Hebrew names, and correcting some mistranslations that have
been the result of anti-Jewish bias.
~ Bible Haters ~
- "So
the hammers of infidels have been
- pecking
away at this Book for ages,
- but
the hammers are worn out,
- and
the anvil still endures.
- If
this book had not been the book of GOD,
- men
would have destroyed it long ago.
- Emperors
and popes, kings and priests, princes and rulers,
- have
all tried their hand at it;
- they
die, and the Book still lives."

- H.L. Hastings
Unfortunately, the Bible is also a study in one of
humanities’ greatest paradoxes.
In centuries past, Biblical debates have imploded ecumenical
councils, confounded theologians and touched off wars that raged on for
decades sometimes centuries, over a Book that basically teaches peace.
The Bible is hated because it brings light to the
shadowy world of the hypocrites.
Getting the Book of Peace into the hands of the common man has a
very bloody history. It is
a history of grisly persecutions of those who are nonviolent soldiers
armed only with the Scriptures. Here
is a sample: “Called "the morning star of the
Reformation," John Wycliffe caused a stir by preaching against the
abuses and heresies of the Roman Catholic "church."
He and his followers (called "Lollards") pointed people
to the word of God, not the Roman Catholic hierarchy.
In the 1380s, Wycliffe published the entire Bible in English.
The Roman Catholic "church" burned his Bibles and his
books. Forty years after
his death, in an act of contempt, the Roman Catholic "church"
dug up his bones and burned them.”
It is hard to imagine such hatred, he was dead and they dug him
up and burned his bones! Today
in the west, it is easy to take the Bible for granted, but throughout
time brave men have obeyed their calling and risked horrifying death to
make the forbidden Holy Scriptures accessible - whether it was
translating, distributing, or teaching - and is still continuing in many
parts of the world today. The
heart-tugging chronicle, of horrible martyrdoms, for only bringing the
knowledge of the Heavenly Kingdom to those who thirst for it is, The
New Foxe’s Book of Martyrs by John Fox, recently updated by Harold
J. Chadwick. It will renew
your definition of freedom fighter.
The history of getting the YHWH’s Wisdom – the
Bible - into the hands of the general public runs parallel to the
history of YHWH’s Sabbath. The
dark side hates it and does all it can (mass murder and torture) to
prevent the knowledge from reaching the masses.
Once the knowledge leaks out and is unstoppable then the dark
side gets people arguing about which translations or in the case of the
Sabbath which day is the more pure one, or marginalizes the concept of
it. And the sad part is the
people fall for it every time. Today
there are 3 different religious Sabbaths, and there are those in our
24/7 world who think no Sabbath is necessary.
Now that the Bible is out, over the years we have been flooded
with very poor liberal translations, so bad that one cannot really call
them GOD’s Word anymore. Scriptures
says YHWH does not change - HIS Sabbath does not change nor does HE
change HIS Word, but Satan has been busy.
There are Bibles that change verses from making GOD feminine, to
giving the Bible a green agenda, and everything in between, and then
there are many in our 24/7 computerized virtual world do not even care
or know about the Bible. This is not what the original Protestant reformers died for,
Oy vey, the mishegoss of religion – YHWH help us.

~ First Generation who knows nothing of the Bible ~
It has been said, “If you don’t stand for
something you will fall for anything.
It make me a little nervous to hear the results of a new poll
taken for the occasion of the 400th anniversary of the King James Bible,
it reveals that a majority of those under 35 in the United Kingdom (the
birth place of the King James Bible) don't even know about the work,
which has been described as a significant part of the estimated 100
million Bible sales annually, making it the best best-seller, ever.
What I worry about is that if they don’t stand or know about
the Bible what will they fall for?
The Christian Institute's report said the
translation, which will celebrate its 400th anniversary, was
the subject of a poll commissioned by the Bible Trust, and a spokesman
said it was clear "there has been a dramatic drop in knowledge in a
generation." The
results revealed that 51 percent of those under the age of 35
have never heard of the King James Bible, compared to 28 percent
of those over the age of 35. Log

Sadly
it is becoming astonishingly clear what the Brit’s are falling for.
The country that was the birthplace of the King James Bible, the
most widely read and most influential book in English history is now
entering spiritual blindness and Islam is taking over.
The book “MUSLIM CONQUEST of BRITAIN” - by Paul
Williams, relays a study by the Centre for Migration Policy Research at
Swansea University that shows thousands of Britons are converting to
Islam every year – with more women becoming Muslims than men.
The
research suggests
that the numbers converting to the religion has doubled in 2010 from the
60,669 converts in 2001. The
average age of the Muslim converts is 27.5.
A detailed study by Swansea University for inter-faith think-tank
Faith Matters, suggests that despite an often-negative portrayal of
Islam in the media, more people are adopting the religion each year.
Kevin
Brice, the director of the study, says that 56% of converts to Islam were white British, with 62%
being female. Presently,
according to the London Times, the Islamic population of Great Britain
exceeds 2.4 million. Log on

~ Bible and Prophecy: Tribulation
Prophecies of Spiritual Blindness ~
- “…many false prophets will rise up and deceive many.
- And because lawlessness will abound,
- the love of many will grow cold.”
- - Matthew 24:11-12
Bible prophecy says “The love of many will grow
cold,” Satan is the point man in promoting this blindness
(2Cor.4:3–4), but that doesn’t excuse the faithful who have been
warned. The Bible tell us
that when YHWH’s people do not obey HIM, HE allows a spirit of
blindness to come over them, "because you did not obey the voice
of the Lord your God, to keep His commandments… the Lord has not given
you a heart to perceive and eyes to see and ears to hear"
(Deu.28:47-48; 29:4). Moses
foretold that Israel’s tendency to rebel against YHWH (and the
subsequent spiritual blindness this would bring) would lead to serious
consequences "in the latter days" (Deu.31:24–29).
Yahshua explained
that Isaiah’s prophecy (Isaiah 6:9–10) also foretold the spiritual
blindness that affected the Jews of His day that neither recognized Him
as the Messiah nor understood His message (Mat.13:10–15).
The Apostle Paul revealed that these same prophesies foretold the
spiritual blindness of modern Israelite nations (Rom.10:1–3; 11:7–8;
2Cor.3:14–15).
Satan is very cunning and patient, most
of today’s Christians are blind to the various influences that
have slowly over the years drawn people away from the Truth.
Most know if you throw a frog into hot water it will jump out,
but if you put it in cool water and slowly warm it up you will cook it.
So it is with today’s Christianity, they do not see that it
differs greatly from the early church or apostolic Christianity of the
Bible. Scripture plainly
shows that Yahshua/Jesus, His Disciples and the early Church observed
the seventh-day Sabbath and the Biblical Holy Days (Luke 4:16; John
7:1–10, 37; Acts 17:2; 18:21). Yet
most professing Christians worship on Sunday—and observe Christmas and
Easter as religious holidays, even though there is no biblical command
to do so. They are even
blind to the fact that technically speaking, Scripture condemns
practices associated with these holidays, which historical sources
reveal were appropriated from paganism
For example: Many professing Christians believe
they will go to heaven, yet the Bible states, "No one has
ascended up to heaven but He who came down from heaven, that is, the Son
of Man [Yahshua]" (John 3:13; see also Acts 2:29, 34; 13:36).
Many consider the gospel message to be just "accept Jesus
and you’ll be saved," yet Scripture reveals that "Yahshua
came preaching the gospel of the Kingdom of YHWH" (Mark
1:13–14). Scripture shows
that His kingdom will be set up on the earth when He returns (Revelation
11:15–18), that the saints will reign with Him on this earth
(Revelation 5:10) and that YHWH’s Law will be taught to everyone
(Isaiah 2:2–4; 9:6–7; 11:9). Although
the early church proclaimed these inspiring aspects of Yahshua’s’
true gospel, later theologians influenced by pagan philosophy questioned
and eventually denounced these teachings as heresy (see The Decline
and Fall of the Roman Empire, Gibbon, chapter 15).
Most professing Christians today are "blind" to these
important historical and biblical facts, because modern clergy and
theologians either do not know or do not teach about these issues.
Prophecy
says
the love of righteousness and Biblical education will grow cold in the
end times, and surveys in England and America prove the point – the
blindness is upon us. No
good will come from this, as I said before, “if you don’t stand
for something then you’ll fall for anything” – hello
antichrist. For those who
can see, these are the birth pangs of the future coming Tribulation era.
Not convinced? Do an Internet search for “Biblical illiteracy” and the
sad facts will come to you. I’ll
quote some highlights:
"The Christian body in
America is immersed in a crisis of biblical illiteracy, warns researcher
George Barna. How else can you describe matters when most churchgoing
adults reject the accuracy of the Bible, reject the existence of Satan,
claim that Jesus sinned, see no need to evangelize, believe that good
works are one of the keys to persuading God to forgive their sins, and
describe their commitment to Christianity as moderate or even less firm?"
"The Church Has Been Dumbed Down by the Culture.
One of the most serious problems facing the Church in the 21st
century is the problem of Biblical illiteracy.
Simply put, most professing Christians do not possess a sound and
coherent understanding of the Bible, beginning with sound doctrine and
general Biblical history. Evidence
for this sad reality is quite overwhelming.
And there are several salient reasons for this dangerous trend."
"Bible Illiteracy in America - From the May 23, 2005
issue: A report just issued by the Bible Literacy Project suggests that
young Americans know very little about the Bible.
The report is important, but first things first: A fair number of
Americans don't see why teenagers should know anything at all about the
Bible."
"Biblical illiteracy is a problem he and others in
ministry have seen for quite some time now, he said. He calls it the
"dirty little secret" in the church.
This week, the Pew Forum on Religion and Public Life released the
results of a nationwide poll that measured how knowledgeable Americans
are when it comes to religion. The poll found that compared to other
faith groups, atheists and agnostics knew most about the Bible, church
history, world religions and religion in public life.
Protestants trailed in religious knowledge behind not only
atheists but also Jews and Mormons."
"We live in a modern world that is often full of
paradoxes. We now live in
the "Age of Information"; thanks to our new technologies, we
can access all kinds of information at a moment's notice.
On the other hand, despite having all this knowledge available,
people tend to not remember many facts or details that are normally
considered important to know. In
the end, we have more information, but less knowledge.
This trend is especially true in terms of knowledge of the Bible.
It would seem that Biblical knowledge today is at a record low.
One could perhaps blame the education systems of our day, since
even though the Bible is foundational for our entire civilization it is
still not taught in the schools, but it would seem that overall people
simply do not know their Bibles."
- “When I pray, I talk to GOD;
- when I study Scriptures, GOD talks to me.”
Knowledge is power, and Divine knowledge is
the most powerful - that is what political and religious
leaders fear. There are
mysteries at the heart of the universe, but it’s no secret.
In our CREATOR’S Kingdom, information is
available to all, and all are encouraged to research - with
sophistication - and qualify the spiritual truths they accept as
righteous.
A
type of homeWorship is studying the Bible.
The early Believers would trust no one, with their spirit except
their CREATOR.
They would verify their teachers’ lessons, “...in that
they received the word with all readiness, and searched the Scriptures
daily to find out whether these things were so,” (Act.17:11); only
then would they share their new found spiritual truths with others.
Learning spiritual truths begins with critical thinking
and it is done with diplomacy. When
hearing Bible teachers, first listen with your heart, when something
doesn’t feel right, then politely say, “please excuse my cynical
reaction, but....” When
interpretation of spiritual matters gets so confusing, then it is time
to return to the original source, the Bible.
Sometimes in Biblical research we must even return to the
original Hebrew source for a more precise and clearer meaning.
It’s a good time to be a Bible believer!
Dig
the Bible! The
Bible critic’s are doing a lot on nervous hand ringing and they are
against the ropes, but it’s an ironic sad fact in today’s time there
is more evidence then ever supporting the Bible’s accuracy and more
and more people could care less about.
Today Biblical archeology has been flourishing since the
nation of Israel has been reborn, and nothing has been found that
contradicts the Bible. Many
archaeological discoveries such as the Dead Sea Scrolls do more to prove
the general integrity of the Bible, then to disprove it, and it’s
causing some nervous hand ringing around the tables of the Bible critics.

Computers
are also being used to dig the Bible.
The Torah, or Books of Moses, had long been assumed by skeptics
to be the work of multiple authors. Scripture scholar Moshe Katz,
and computer expert Menachem Wiener of the Israel Institute of
Technology, analyzed the Masoretic text through sophisticated computer
analysis, and discovered an intricate pattern of significant words
concealed in the canon, spelled by letters separated at fixed intervals.
Such recent
discoveries called codes
in the Hebrew Bible contain coded messages are proving its Divine
authorship. So
don’t only just read your Bible in the shadows, but log on to my
website and teach your family, friends, and critics, to see it in a
renewed light. Remember the
believers are the salt of the Earth, and it only takes a little bit of
salt to purify.
As a Protestant based, Christian nation
our first course of action should be to repent. Next, we should reaffirm our founding faith and declare to
the world, “As for me and
my house, we will follow the Lord,” Joshua 24:15.
- Your word is eternal,
- it stands firm in
heaven.
- - Ps 119:89
- .
- “I am the LORD, I do not change!”
- The word of the LORD endures forever.”
